Job Description BAE Systems ESS-IT is seeking an experienced IT systems administrator to join our team as a Cloud Operations Sys Admin for our enterprise Virtual\\Windows server environment. As a member of the Wintel Admin Tier3 support team you’d be responsible for providing critical support of BAE Systems cloud infrastructure and operations services with specialization focus of our Data Access Control rights management solution of our file services environment.
A successful candidate will be an experienced Windows Server admin that is customer service oriented, attentive to detail, self-motivated learner that works well with remote teams, able to breakdown technical information, explain technical subject matter to non-technical audiences, have the ability to troubleshoot problems in complex systems, understand and act on the customer needs and priorities. You will also need to be willing to participate in our Wintel team on-call rotation, adapt to changes quickly, respond to occasional off-hours outages, and determine and execute the quickest plan of action for service restoration efforts.
In this position you will be expected to be a primary resource responsible for rolling out and supporting our Data Access Control solution project, and have expert level understanding of file ACLs. This project will be centered on deploying StealthAudit to scan, audit, report, and restrict company-wide file permission security to only those that require access. While working this project it will be expected to work with data owners across the enterprise, diligently schedule and train them to use the correct tools to properly manage, secure, and audit access of the shared data in our environment. We would like this person to lead tier 2 resources on project tasks, automate file permission changes, and running simple SQL queries to gather data to generate reports.Required Skills and Education
