BAE Systems’ Precision Strike & Sensing Solutions (PS) is looking for innovative and passionate Senior RF Test Engineers to join the leading edge team in our new Huntsville Business Center. Your mission will be to imagine, develop, deliver, and support customer-focused, affordable test solutions integrated across all levels of product test. BAE Systems is looking for Test Design Engineers with RF experience and both hardware and software capabilities to join the Integrated Test Engineering (ITE) organization at our Huntsville, AL location. The ITE organization’s mission is to reliably deliver customer-focused, affordable test solutions that are integrated across all levels of production test. As a Test Design Engineer, you will use your capabilities to develop Test Program Sets (TPS) to provide production test solutions needed for our Precision Strike and Sensing Solution products. These TPS will be developed for Test Stands, Test Equipment, and Software needed to provide In-Process (IP), Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) ranging from component to systems level analog, digital and RF products.
In this position, the chosen candidate will support the design, development, procurement, assembly, programming, prototype demonstration and transition to production of RF test stations for the testing our deliverable products. You will be a member of a team of multi-disciplined engineers to design test systems for RF modules for radar applications, communications equipment and EW systems. The candidate will be responsible for supporting program proposals, initial concept development and being the technical lead or primary contributor during program execution. The candidate should have a strong understanding of RF/Microwave electronics and test equipment. A deep understanding of network analysis using the Keysight PNA-X and LabWindows/CVI programming is desired.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Skilled in design of production test solutions
- Skilled in test program hardware OR software development
- Hardware: knowledge of test instruments and their use
- Software: C-based software and/or script-based languages
- Strong knowledge of analog biasing and digital control circuitry. Understands test equipment for microwave measurements, DC Power Measurements and digital/FPGA control.
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering with at least 6 years of experience or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Production Test Solution Design & Development
- Hardware Focus (test adapters, cables, and interface modules)
- Understanding of RF test parameters such as S-parameters, P1dB, noise figure, Power added Efficiency and TOI Experience working with program RF test stations using NI Labview Software Expertise with equipment such as Keysight Performance Network Analyzers, spectrum analyzers, noise figure analyzers, and power meters/sensors.

- Test solution software and hardware integration
- Creating, updating, and approving hardware and/or software configuration in a change management tool
- NI Software development tools: LabWindows/CVI, LabVIEW, TestStand
- Possess good communication skills including interpersonal communication and team communication
- Takes initiative and has a closure-oriented nature.
