Job Description BAE Systems is offering an exciting opportunity to support an important and dynamic Department of Justice customer supporting a highly capable and diverse team driving technical innovation.
In this role you’ll provide systems administration support services to a variety of systems at designated facilities. Perform deployments, periodic maintenance, monitor for problems, and resolve system and user issues. You’ll be managing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory (AD) supporting authentication, policy, and configuration for the environments; performing regular AD health and security assessments. Also, you’ll adhere to operational and security policies from the respective Information System Security Officer (ISSO), authorized Engineering Groups, and standard operating procedures (SOP), as required. Administering, managing, and supporting security and update compliance of server and workstation infrastructure, primarily Microsoft Windows, in the enterprise computer-based collection systems.
To qualify, strong Windows and active directory experience is needed. You’ll see that we call for Linux experience too, but Windows experience is more important.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience logging, tracking, monitoring and troubleshooting the health of the operational facilities, the systems installed therein, local and remote desktops, regional/satellite site equipment, and their Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN);
Experience in enterprise computer-based systems and applications with the ability to manage software applications, replace hard drives, memory modules, motherboards, power supplies, network equipment, etc.;
Experience with optimizing system operation and resource utilization, performing system capacity analysis and planning, resolving performance problems with the servers and networks;
Experience supervising the monitoring of operational facilities/equipment, supervising testing and analysis of all elements of the network facility, and serve as a key contact for local/remote locations and customers to obtain clarification of problems and provide resolution of system failures and degradations;
Experience in day-to-day administration and operation of complex networked computer-based systems distributed across geographic regions;
Experience in 24/7/365 technical support and dedicated customer service to ensure efficient and reliable productivity to meet mission needs;
Experience as a liaison with telecommunications service providers to engineer, implement, and troubleshoot telephony input lines;
Fundamental understanding and experience in telecommunications and telephony signaling standards/protocols, and test equipment (e.g. T1, SIP, VoIP, DACS, T1 Testers, etc.);
Experience using Storage Area Networks (SAN)/Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) and various types of removable storage media;
Effective verbal and written communications; strong teamwork skills; and excellent interpersonal skills which are essential to relate with technically-trained agents, case agents, forensic examiners, telecommunication specialists, system analysts, supervisory linguists, linguists, and end-users who have differing levels of technical skills.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, relevant engineering discipline, or, with the concurrence of the OCXS PM, a combination of relevant work experience/military equivalent and comparable Technical certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional; Linux Professional Institute (LPI), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA®) or Engineer (RHCE®); or Cisco (Professional or Expert) may be substituted for education. Five additional years of related work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
