The Test Manager will serve as a People Manager and Lead System Test Engineer
This BAE Systems program supports our federal customer who plays a key role in providing direct cybersecurity engineering support in defending the nation from cyber attacks. This program provides systems and security engineering and integration support to specific Government-sponsored projects, pilots and prototypes. This includes solution planning and engineering, defining security requirements, target architecture, interoperability and integration, system testing, Verification and Validation, Modeling and Simulation, studies and analysis, post-deployment security validation (PDSV), and project risk management. As part of this team, you will contribute to the engineering of current and emerging cybersecurity systems, policies, and processes to enforce standards and identify vulnerabilities and capability gaps, and reduce cybersecurity risk of our customer networks.
The Lead System Test Engineer shall work with the Government test team to manage test execution activities within the System Validation Section; Independent Validation & Verification (IV&V) covering Functional, Performance, and User Acceptance Testing.
The Lead System Test Engineer will mentor the Contractor test team staff, and produce or review work products.
The Lead System Test Engineer will work closely with mission systems developers to enhance system test planning and test effectiveness.
The Lead System Test Engineer will continue to enhance government sponsored programs’ test automation and develop consistent repeatable process for generation of plans, reports and data analysis.
The Lead System Test Engineer shall coordinate the Contractor’s testing support across the program and ensure consistency with the SELC and program plans and processes.
The Lead System Test Engineer will ensure that the Security Test & Evaluation & IV&V teams are equipped with current tools to support their mission, as well as looking into the future for areas where the toolset will need to expand to meet program goals.
The Lead Test Engineer requires an active TS/SCI security clearance
Required Skills and Education
- 10+ years of experience as a System Test Engineer
- Substantial experience in system validation processes
- Supervisory experience in leading multiple teams
- Knowledge of Jira and software development
- Experience with distributed systems
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
Preferred Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years or equivalent experience
- Current TS/SCI Clearance
- Current DHS HQ Suitability
