Job Description This is a Union position governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
BAE Systems in Keyport, WA, is seeking an experienced Supply Warehouse Worker with CDL who will Receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, supplies, tools, or products and updates stock records of items in warehouse using walkie stacker/Big Joe, Work Asset Vehicle lift, or manual pallet jack.
There is no relocation assistance available for this position. If relocation is necessary, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at his/her own expense.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Loads and unloads shipments at staging and receiving areas
Transports material and items between receiving point and storage point manually or by using MHE and Company Vehicles
Sorts and places material in defined storage locations using identifying information
Counts and sorts incoming material to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice
Examines received stock to verify conformance to specifications
Fills requisitions or requests for materials other stock items for issue to requester
Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves/racks, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material
Maintains traceability to procurement documentation
May mark or remark materials
Opens containers using hand tools
Assembles orders from stock and marks items with identifying information Reads shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Prepares material for delivery
Assists with periodic, special, cyclic, or perpetual inventory of stock
Inputs data on adjustments of inventory counts to computerized stock records Notes spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments
May mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles
May distribute stock keeping records of material issued
May assemble, disassemble, move, place identifying markings on, or repair storage aids
May be required to assemble crates or fiberboard boxes in preparation for loading/shipping material
May drive a van, pick-up, or automobile to make local pick-up and deliveries Informs supervisor or other appropriate personnel of low stock
Performs minor and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and tools. Performs other tasking consistent with experience
May provide assistance in other functional areas as required by the Lead/ManagerRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Candidates must ensure that resume addresses all stated requirements of the posted requisition. Must have a current Class C CDL or above with a Hazardous Materials Endorsement
Must be Explosive certified
Minimum education requirements: High School Diploma/GED
Minimum years of related work experience: One year of warehousing work experience
Security clearance requirement: Final DoD security clearance (US Citizenship required)
Must have the following skills/experience:
Valid Washington State Driver’s license
Be physically able to lift, handle and move up to 75 lbs.
Ability to function effectively and make positive contributions as a member of a successful team in a high pressure environment with multiple high priority tasks
Experience following detailed written procedures
Experience with Microsoft Office suite programs, especially Word/Excel and data input to programs/spreadsheets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work experience demonstrating ability to interface with co-workers and customers effectively and positively
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with records and inventory countsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Highly desired skills/experience:
Experience and ability to operate PCs using various logistics and office application programs
Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Access
Experience and ability to write detailed desk guide/work instructions
