In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.
BAE Systems is one of the world's largest defense contractors and Fortune 500 Company, this intern will be working full time onsite at our Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Radford, VA or our Holston Plant in Kingsport, TN for Relocation will be not offered, and housing is not provided.
As a Subcontracts Administrator Intern:
- Assists Subcontract Administrators with Supply Chain activities to include, but not limited to issuing RFQ/RFPs, bid analysis, completing required forms, subcontract closeout, and expediting.
- Maintaining and organizing compliance subcontractors' documentation
- Communicating with subcontractors to gather information, clarify contract terms and resolve any issues
- Perform market research
- Compliance monitoring, ensuring subcontractors comply with terms and conditions of their agreement
- Address invoicing and delivery issues.
- Coordinate with project teams, work closely with other managers and stake holders to ensure activities align with project schedules
- Interface with suppliers to complete procurement activities.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of subcontracts management processes
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to learn and adapt in dynamic work environment
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Completed 2 or more years of college in Business, Supply Chain or related field
- Strong presentation skills
- General knowledge of FAR/DFARS
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $33001 - $44589
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
