Job Description BAE Systems is looking for an Oracle Database Administrator with experience in performance tuning of queries and databases in general. The ideal candidate will have experience in database design, maintenance, backup and recovery expertise in a complex environment.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' experience with Oracle Database support. The candidate should be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills and work seamlessly in a team environment as well as independently.Required Education, Experience, & Skills US Citizens only we cannot support green card holders or candidates who need visas for this position due to the nature of the data being accessed.
BS Degree and a minimum 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
- 1+ years experience with Oracle 19c Multi-Tenant Architecture and database infrastructure design on RAC Databases.
- 5+ years experience Extensive experience as an Oracle administrator including the management, maintenance, configuration, and optimization of the environment.
- Experience Red Hat Linux and Solaris Operating Systems.
- Experience in following processes and procedures to standardize Database installations and configuration.
- Experience in cloning Databases in a Multi-Tenant Database environment.
- Experience automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy utilizing Unix shell scripting or other scripting tools.
- Broad experience in the art of performance tuning, utilizing OEM or third-party tools to finely tune objects and queries in Oracle 19c.
- Experience with implementation and maintenance of Disaster Recovery environments using Data Guard.
- Comprehensive understanding of Oracle backup methodologies, their implementation via GUI as well as scripts. Experience with setup and scheduling of RMAN backups as well as successful database restores.
- Experience applying quarterly database CPU, PSU, SPU, BP patches.
- Monitor alert logs, OEM and system alerts, acting on the results.
- Willingness to participate in rotational 24 x 7 on-call Production support.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience supporting PeopleSoft Databases
- Scripting skills to help implement audit, backup scripts and compliance checking
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Experience in disk array storage solutions – preferably NetApp
- Experience in Backup / Recovery solutions – preferably CommVault, RMAN
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77814 - $132283
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
