Job Description Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.
This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
- Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment within the facility; with an emphasis in Environmental test equipment, Temperature Chambers and Vibration systems.
- Determines need and orders material and parts as required to repair equipment.
- Identify and scope electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance services for cognizant equipment.
- Troubleshooting, repairing control systems and installing controller upgrade kits
- On site refrigeration systems repair on thermal chambers
- Utilize equipment specifications, drawings, and schematics to perform corrective and preventative maintenance as specified by the manufacturer
- Troubleshoot and repair complex industrial equipment, fabricate parts when and if required.
- Works under the supervision of a Team Leader who gives minimal instructions. Employee will track and record work activities in computer system which verifies the work is complete and conforms to quality requirements
- Employee is responsible for maintaining/improving housekeeping standard in his/her work area and adhering to established safety rules and practices
- Provide technical expertise and training to other Test Services Technicians
- Required to comply with all ES&H requirements/certifications for work assigned
- Additional test equipment repair/calibration duties may be assigned as needed based on skill set of the individual selected for this position
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must have the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance
- Must obey and comply with all ES&H requirements for refrigeration system repair
- Refridgeration related certifications a plus
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Preferred experience with troubleshooting and repair of temperature chamber systems.
- Has the ability to troubleshoot complex systems, read and utilize electrical schematics in troubleshooting activities
- Understands and has experience with refrigeration system operation/repair.
- Must be self starter and comfortable in managing daily activities with high level expectations being provided.
