Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a motivated leader to provide hands on support for strategic thinking, strategic planning, and new business growth and capture activities in support of creative applications of Digital Transformation Capabilities – addressing leading-edge requirements of multiple customers. Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for problem solving and ability to drive cutting-edge innovations and integrations of multi-disciplinary digital transformation initiatives for Air Force, Space Force, and other DoD customers and industry partners. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to:
- Design, architect, develop and implement Digital Engineering systems
- Identify and present the benefits of Digital Engineering solutions to various customers and then direct the implementation of selected Digital Engineering solutions to support customer activities
- Direct and manage a complex software integration, test, and demonstration program
- Enable comprehensive program management functionality with associated metrics collection, visualization, and reporting to support the full range of business operations and program cost, schedule, and performance tracking; Deliver program reports, financial up-dates, and other contractual deliverables on time
- Apply DoD Software development principles including the DevSecOps Reference Design, the Software Modernization Strategy, and execution of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for digital capabilities
- Work within modern information technology and cybersecurity frameworks to integrate Digital Engineering tools and applications in both on-premise and cloud-based environments at various classification levels; this includes serving as the primary customer interface for the design, buildout, accreditation, and activation of contracted facilities, IT infrastructure, and Digital Engineering Environments from the Unclassified to TS/SCI and SAP levels.
- Interface and interact with customers at the Senior Executive level at the local, regional, national and international levels
- Complete other tasks as directed
Successful candidates will interact with fellow BAE Systems multi-disciplinary subject matter experts, technical and management leaders from across the corporation, and high-ranking Government decision-makers to both support existing workloads critical to national security, and to identify and capture new business. Pursuant to existing Government contracts, this position requires US Citizenship status.
The position is located in Clearfield, UT and will travel in support of various demonstration and capture activities while managing and supporting the BAE Systems Digital Engineering Capabilities Laboratory in Clearfield, UT.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math, Physics, Science, Engineering or a related technical subject
- At least 10 years of experience with digital engineering applications and/or model based systems engineering processes and tools
- Strong experience with multiple digital applications and tools such as Dassault Systems Cameo/CATIA and SysML, UML, UPDM, DOORS, Siemens Teamcenter, MatLab/Simulink or related software languages such as Python and C+
- Experience with technical business development efforts to include identifying opportunities and capturing customer business; architecting and briefing new technical concepts; and writing proposals for DoD customers
- Demonstrated ability to expertly write and present at the strategic leadership level to communicate a vision for innovative and integrated digital capabilities, as well as at the technical level for digital system definition, development, and deployment
- 5 years experience as a program manager in support of a DoD program office working ACAT programs
- Experience interacting with Government Executives at the NAF, MAJCOM, HAF and Congressional levels
- Able to work independently and demonstrate strong initiative, complex problem solving, and an ability to organize assigned daily tasks and the tasks of subordinates with no supervision
- Possess strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with team members, external vendors, various levels of management and internal clients with assorted levels of computer experience
- Experience in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must currently possess a secret clearance or above. The candidate must also have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Top Secret Clearance with all necessary SAP clearances. The criteria for obtaining clearance is set by the US Government.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Demonstrated expertise providing innovative solutions in Digital Engineering
- Recognized leader in Digital Engineering (DE)/Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with demonstrated experience developing DE solutions to support customers and proposals
- Experience developing a Digital Engineering Ecosystem
- Graduate degree(s) or certificate(s) from ABET-accredited Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Business, Physics, Science, Engineering, or other programs
- Active U.S. DoD Security Clearance
- INCOSE ASEP (or higher) professional certification
- OMG OCSMP Model User (or higher) professional certification
- Cloud based computing skills
- Network development skills
- Multi classification domain experience/expertise
- Multiple concurrent program/project experience
