As part of our engineering team, you will work with commercial geospatial products and solutions for key military, security, and incident response operations, to a variety of commercial development and research initiatives.
We are looking for a software test engineer who will be able to plug into a dynamic and fast paced team of test engineers. The test engineer will work with our development team, which develops cutting-edge software in comprehensive discovery, advanced exploitation, and rapid dissemination of mission-critical geospatial data. The test engineer will be responsible for installing and executing integration testing on multiple software products from across the GXP ecosystem -- including desktop, server-based, web-based applications, and web services -- and will need to develop a strong understanding of how the applications work together. He/She will be responsible for manual testing of user interfaces and back-end services.
Typical responsibilities of a Software Test Engineer will include:
o Create tests cases
o Participate in SCRUMS
o Implement and apply the principles of SAFe Agile
o Troubleshooting and documenting software bugs
o Identifying testing gaps and writing new test cases
The Geospatial eXploitation Products (GXP®) business provides licensed software capabilities and geospatial technology R&D. GXP’s ability to draw on customer feedback and technology expertise has allowed it to deliver superior products to the user community. GXP often finds ways to improve software implementation through user conferences and regional workshops, where important feedback and insight is gathered from customers.
GXP commercial software, GXP Xplorer®, GXP WebView®, SOCET GXP®, and SOCET SET®,provide customers with comprehensive image and video analysis, data management, geospatial production, and state-of-the-art sensor-data processing and analytics technologies which provide compact and scalable solutions to challenging problems in areas of video analytics, sensor data processing, computer vision, and machine learning. These products serve government and civil customers’ needs for photogrammetry, mapping, GIS, image exploitation, precision targeting, GEOINT (geospatial intelligence), MOVINT (movement intelligence), 3-D visualization, simulation, and mission planning.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS in Computer Science or related
- Strong knowledge of software testing, and automated testing methodologies.
- 4+ years experience working with VMs (VirtualBox, Vshpere, Hyper-V, VMware, or others)
- 4+ years experience with Windows Server 2016,and 2019, UNIX, Linux (RHEL or CentOS 7
- 4+ years experience testing complex distributed systems that involve multiple web services, databases, and executables interacting with each other.
- Ability to obtain at a minimum secret clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Secret clearance
- Experience with Azure DevOps, or similar
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Familiarity using and testing RESTful web services
- Experience testing Client-Server applications
- Familiarity with build and test automation systems such as Jenkins, Bamboo, etc
- Familiarity with scripting in Python and bash languages
- Familiarity with Powershell
- Familiarity with Cypress automation tool
- Familiarity with Linux systems administration
