Job Description BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional individual with strong Air Force program management expertise to support the Air Force’s next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system acquisition. Our customer is the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Program Office located at Hill AFB, Utah. This will be a long-term project with the weapon system anticipated to remain operational until 2075.
We are seeking an experienced program manager with a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment. They must possess high energy and a strong motivation to make a difference. They must be comfortable working with changing priorities. The ability to switch tasks and multitask with minimal disruption is a must.
This position will directly support the ICBM Secondary Launch Platform - Airborne (SLP-A) Branch as they acquire the command, control, and communications needed for the next generation GBSD ICBM secondary launch capability. Duties will include providing expert advice and support to GBSD Directorate leaders on all SLP-A aspects throughout the acquisition cycle. Specifically, this BAE Systems team member will: review projects and budgets status; manage schedules and prepare status reports; lead and develop team members; and ensure alignment between task and strategic objectives. This PM will assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. This PM will interact frequently with internal and external senior level executives and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, contracts, and strategies. The candidate should be comfortable leading briefings, leading an interdisciplinary team, and presenting in high level meetings.
This position is being filled as a part of the Integration Support Contract (ISC) under which BAE Systems augments organic government resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, and mission effectiveness.
Pursuant to government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.
This position is only located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, due to special-access, classified working environment.

- 10 years of experience in direct program management.
- Must have a current Secret security clearance with background investigation closed no greater than 6 years prior to hiring and must be eligible for SAP clearance.
Preferred Skills and Education
- Experience with R&D programs’ lifecycle phases, milestones, and deliverables and the creation and coordination of acquisition documents
- Relevant ICBM and/or developmental/operational test organization (e.g., 576 FLTS, AFOTEC) experience
- Familiarity with communications systems (e.g., fiber optics, Radio Frequency (RF), SATCOM)
- Current Top Secret Security clearance is highly desired
- Management of personnel development and training including setting objectives for individual development as a supervisor
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management Discipline
- Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communications skills in addition to sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with customer and company personnel
- Familiarity with, or willingness to rapidly learn, DoD acquisitions activities in accordance with DoD Directive 5000.01 and DoD Instruction 5000.02, as well as any other relevant U.S. law, DoD, CJCS, USAF, or other Service Component directives, policies, instructions, or guides
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel is highly desirable
