The top objective for the person in this role is to easily enable Operations, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance leaders and team members to make decisions based on real and current data. For leaders, time spent pulling and organizing data minimizes time spent acting on data. This candidate requires intimate knowledge of data that is available (cost, quality and schedule) and how to pull, organize and present it in a way that the target community can and will use.
A second key objective for this candidate is to develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for systems and tools supporting the business objectives of Endicott Operations. The roadmap can be used to help standardize tool usage and adoption across Operations in Endicott, consolidating and minimizing tool maintenance and service costs.
The candidate may have a fluctuating number of direct reports, interns/co-ops, contractors or lower level tools/programmers/data analysts depending on current projects.
The candidate will be responsible for setting and managing budgets associated with systems and tools projects.
The candidate will in some cases support and in other cases lead initiatives such as:
Factory 4.0 / Visual Factory / End-to-End Statusing
RFID for various applications
Internal Network for manufacturing and test
ERP / Tools
The candidate will be a primary point of contact for the IT function and will work to obtain delegated authorities (i.e APEX Production)
The candidate will establish collaboration with other sites to have an understanding of their systems and tools usage, forward plans, and identify opportunities for standardization where it makes sense.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
Required Skills and Education Minimum required education: Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Technical discipline).
Basic programming languages: SQL, VB, etc
Preferred Skills and Education - Intimate knowledge of Operations business processes and the systems and tools that support them.
