Electronic Combat Solutions Hardware Engineering Group is looking for a Senior FPGA Digital Design Engineer to support FPGA designs through all phases of development. The ideal candidate is expected to perform activities including assisting in design architecture, ownership of RTL coding, synthesis, place and route, timing closure, basic test bench development, lab testing, product support and FPGA security.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.
**Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status along with the ability to obtain a minimum of Secret Clearance**
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 4+ years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree (less with an advanced degree)
- Current Security Clearance (Secret), or eligible to obtain one
- Experience in FPGA (preferred) or ASIC Design / Development
- VHDL (preferred) or Verilog HDL coding
- Experience with digital design tools and simulators
- Working knowledge of internal logic analyzer (ILA/chipscope/signaltap)
- Familiarity with static timing analysis tools and timing closure
- Experience with clock domain crossing techniques
- Experience with designer-level test bench (VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog)
- Familiarity with revision control (GIT, CVS, Clearcase, Subversion, etc.)
- Strong debug and problem solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Self-starter and a good team player
- Ability to mentor and willingness to be mentored
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in hardware design and hands-on lab debug
- Experience with Xilinx Vivado or Intel/Altera Quartus
- Experience dealing with legacy designs
- Experience running digital simulations with Modelsim/QuestaSim
- Experience generating scripts (Perl, Tcl, Python, shell, etc.)
- Working knowledge of UVM/SystemVerilog and familiarity with design verification
- Working knowledge of C/C++
- Working knowledge of high speed ADC/DAC interfaces, SERDES, PCIe
- Experience with DSP fundamentals – and FPGA implementation – as well as Matlab/Simulink a plus

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
