Job Description Join BAE Systems' award-winning security team at Electronic Systems (ES) as a Security Operations Manager. Develop and lead a 24/7 integrated physical security operation, combining real-time monitoring, incident response, and threat assessment to safeguard personnel, facilities, and mission-critical assets.
Job Summary:
As a Security Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the physical security of our facilities and personnel. You will lead a team of security professionals, developing and implementing effective security strategies, procedures, and protocols to prevent and respond to security incidents and emergencies. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations of a high-visibility, mission-critical 24/7/365 Security Operations Center supporting over 60 sites
- Develop and implement incident response plans for physical security incidents, such as unauthorized access, theft, or violence
- Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Coach, train, and mentor security operators and analysts in effective observation, documentation, and reporting
- Design, implement, and manage a best-in-class SOC project, collaborating with critical internal and external stakeholders
- Optimize integrated physical security systems (e.g., access control, surveillance, and alarm systems) across multiple sites
- Leverage outside security service guard resources to achieve mission. Cultivate vendor partnerships
- Support emergency response and conduct proactive drills to continuously improve. Manage enterprise emergency notification system
- Develop and execute a security awareness training program for employees and contractors
- Ensure compliance with UL2050, local regulations and laws related to physical security and emergency response
- Provide duty of care for employee foreign travel
- Develop and manage budgets for physical security operations, including resource allocation and procurement of security equipment and services
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the Security Operations, Physical Security and the business are aligned with organizational goals and objectives
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in security management, a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a physical security focused operations center, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to brief senior executives
- Strong understanding of physical security principles, including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems
- Ability to solve complex problems independently and function under pressure in stressful emergency situations
- Demonstrated ability to create innovative solutions and develop collaborative relationships
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- CPP, PSP, or security management certification
- Experience in GSOC, UL2050, ICD705, NISPOM or classified environments
- Technical experience developing intelligence products
- Working knowledge of physical security systems, including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems
- Previous experience in developing and coordinating security programs, projects, and plans
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $116419 - $197912
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
