Job Description
As the Prototype Shop Supervisor, you will:
- Direct the prototype shop area, manage safety, manufacturing processes, build and deliver prototypes, pre-planned products, structures, components, support log events with process support, personnel and spares parts.
- Will be directed to manage direct and indirect employees in all manufacturing and warehouse functions and prototype shop areas.
- Continuously improve all areas of responsibility and performance measures including cost, quality, schedule, safety, employee development, customer/supplier relations, budget, etc. and increase competitiveness.
- Deliver prototype products and services on schedule and develop an increasingly more capable and flexible workforce and a team oriented culture.
In addition, the Prototype Shop Supervisor will:
- Direct prototype shop processes with USG customer teams on Technical Manual (TM) Development, "Fit Up" Product Demonstrations, attach & detach prototype products, structures, components, and spares.
- Document these product lines with new prototype products, structures, components, and spares as requested by engineering.
- Develop an increasingly more capable and flexible workforce and a team oriented culture.
- On occasion, may work 2nd shift or staggered extended shift to back fill and cover operations when the other supervisors have PTO, etc.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Able to lead and ensure implementation of team-oriented safety environment and process.
- Able to identify barriers to competitiveness and lead planning and implementation of plans to break through problems with minimal disruption to the business.
- Able to manage site responsibilities in a complex logistics events & support, their manufacturing needs, recall warehouse materials & work in and supervise an assembly environment.
- Able to interface on a high level with customers.
- Able to makes independent decisions.
- Able to lead organization initiatives, manage change, mentor, cross train, and support budgeting goals for manufacturing and warehouse areas.
- Able to synthesize and analyze information, make tough decisions, influence the organization, and lead employees through change.
- Digital Systems Understanding/Usage – Must be capable using any system needed to maintain workflow administered daily through computer based product systems such as MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note and Oracle.
- Must be capable of standing up in front of a group and conduct briefings and teach subordinates.

- Support USG Logistics & Technical Manual development support teams and warfighting Soldiers for validation & verification events of Technical Publications, Illustrations Engineering Drawings and Manuals.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81156 - $137964
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
