Job Description The objective of Systems Engineering and Integration-2 (SE&I-2) contract is to provide Launch Enterprise with Systems Engineering, Integration, Launch Systems support engineering, Mission Integration, security systems and other SE&I functions to support National Security Space Launch (NSSL), Launch Service Providers (LSPs) integration, certification support and fleet surveillance support.

The Project Integration Engineer II – System Partnerships at Vandeberg AFB, CA supporting the US Space Force (USSF) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Launch Enterprise Directorate (SMC/ECL) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Contract responsible for the design and integration of complex engineering systems used to modernize or upgrade existing systems. Responsible for the functionality and compatibility of systems in both test and live environments.

Expertise in support of launch site facility modifications related to the Launch Service Agreement (LSA) Other Transactional Agreements (OTAs). Experience includes, but is not limited to, systems engineering activities (PWS 3.3.2), schedule tracking and analysis for readiness (PWS 3.3.11), and assessment and tracking of launch facilities risks and issues (PWS 3.3.12). Possesses solid working knowledge of launch complex systems and familiarity with launch program requirements.

This position is considered a mid-level engineering position. Responsibilities may include analyzing and reviewing designs and test plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, system analysis, and documentation preparation for complex systems. Provides systems engineering to include risk assessment, monitoring and reporting on status of projects, console operations, operations and maintenance of launch sites and support facilities. Performs launch site and support facility integration. Evaluates launch site and support facilities architecture plans, provides configuration management and manages the baselines for communication, video, data transmission, emergency management, power, HVAC, structural, water/sewage, other systems upgrades and proposed modifications. Conducts systems engineering analyses, planning, design reviews, and studies to identify methods for fulfilling user requirements based on existing capabilities. Conducts engineering analyses, planning, design reviews, and studies to identify requirement shortfalls and provide capability assessments, concepts of operations, and risk assessments to ensure launch site and support facility readiness to meet
mission needs. Conducts launch site and support facility project management, surveillance, testing and quality control inspections. Updates drawings, systems configuration, checklists, systems specifications, equipment demarcations, and life expectancy of associated equipment. Maintains continuity products containing facility and system reports, schedules, work orders, facility layouts, drawings/schematics including redlines, and relevant electronic files for ancillary equipment in support of missions.

Individual must possess solid working knowledge of launch complex systems and familiarity with launch program requirements.
