Job Description This role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, and will take the form of a hybrid work format with time split between working on-site at our Cedar Rapids, IA facilities, and remotely. To be considered for this role, applicants must be local to the Cedar Rapids metro area, or have an inherent interest in relocation to the region.
The Program Cost Analyst prepares, develops and coordinates the program Contract Budget Baseline. Ensures major projects and program plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including but not limited to finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality. Monitors program cost performance and performs risk analysis with the use of earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. Updates and prepares reports for customers.
The Program Cost Analyst is also responsible for preparing sales forecasts and margin profitability analysis for their programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishment of a Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB)
- Perform analysis of the cost data at the activity / task level to ensure within the contract values
- Identify potential risk items and report status to Program
- Conduct monthly Control Account Manager (CAM) Reviews, end of month updates maintenance & variance reporting
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires the individual to be a US Person.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar applicable discipline; or equivalent experience, and two (2) years of finance experience; or a Master’s Degree and zero (0) years of related experience.
- Ability to support the team in monitoring program schedule performance and activities
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers
- Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule
- Experience supporting the development of process-compliant program and proposal plans
- Experience in program execution and risk management
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in Earned Value Management in Defense Industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Presenting Financial data to audience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $60076 - $102130
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
