Job Description BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to work on our DCGS-N program. The qualified candidate will work in a rapid integration and test environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The
selected candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks ranging from System and Software Integration and Test to include: customer site support activities, Service Desk support, shipboard installation, test, and evaluation activities.
The candidate will support this program working in the NAVWAR integration and development labs conducting development, integration and test of DCGS-N software within the CANES infrastructure. Duties also include install, integrate, test, and troubleshoot CANES, DCGS-N and GCCS systems on U.S. Navy platforms. Tasking may also include fly-away support to various CONUS and OCONUS locations working in concert with various Naval assets. General responsibilities include program support as the DCGS-N, GCCS-M and GCCS-I3 Subject Matter Expertise (SME).

Temporary remote/Hybrid (COVID-19): Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this role will be conducted remotely or in a hybrid format on a temporary basis. Based on pandemic conditions, once the employee’s assigned site begins a broader transition back to the workplace, the role will transition to full-time onsite.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Hold an active Secret clearance and be eligible for a Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Knowledge of Navy server/client system architectures within CANES
- Knowledge of UNIX, Red Hat Linux, Solaris 10, Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 2008, Windows 2016 operating systems
- Good problem solving IT skills, test, and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Hold an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- Network understanding (Gigabit Ethernet, routers & switches)
- Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills with the ability to communicate (verbal & written) with Navy customers to include other Navy contractors
- Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment
- IA Security+ Certification (minimum) and Solaris and Windows OS certifications
- Advanced knowledge of DCGS-N and GCCS-I3 software and applications
- Knowledge of Navy server/client system architectures within CANES
- Ability to travel
