Job Description Based at the Customer’s site in Fort Worth Texas, the Sustainment Performance and Decision Analytics (P&DA) Specialist (Senior Principal Systems Engineer) candidate will support the F-35 Sustainment Performance and Decision Analytics Team in conducting or managing detailed analyses of the sustainment environment, data capture, and organization, mining, and report generation. Further specifics of the Senior Principal Systems Engineer job are provided below:
I. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
To support the Sustainment Performance and Decision Analytics Team in conducting or managing detailed analyses of the global sustainment enterprise using various logistics analysis tools and performance data capture.
This will include, but not be limited to:
Development of spares optimization and simulation models to support Supplier PBL
(Performance Based Logistics) Contracts.
Low Rate Productions Contracts spare and repair modeling for Pack Up Kits, Deployment Spares Packages, Afloat Spares Packages, Global Spares Packages, Base Stand-up Spares Packages, Basic Economic Quantities, Life Limited, Consumables, Pilot Flight Equipment.
Spare Optimization and Simulation of all spares models using Systecon Suite.
Life Cycle Planning studies in respect to spare and repair estimations.
Critical Item List Report generation.
II. FACTORS DESCRIBING THE JOB:

Discretion/Latitude – Works under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Virtually self-supervisory.
Impact – Decisions affect the financial, technical, employee or public relations posture of the organization. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to the major objectives of the organization.
Liaison – Serves as consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities and long-range goals and objectives.
III. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational and Functional responsibilities for personnel.
Act as hiring manager for Sustainment Performance and Decision Analytics Team.
Development and delivery of benchmark commercial bids and technical alignment with the customer.
Technical lead with effective delegation of projects to modeling team.
Manage tasks performed by team to ensure that the modeling approach taken meets the needs of the business.
Modeling: Have deep understanding and application of supply chain models using commercial software such as OPUS10 and SIMLOX in order to determine optimal quantities and placement of spare parts as well as to determine supplier performance metrics.
Evaluation: Manage work of junior analysts to verify that modeling outputs are correct; work with stakeholders to validate that the modeling approach taken meets the needs of the business.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Experience –8+ Year(s) with BS; 6+ Year(s) with MS; 4+ Year(s) with PhD
B.Sc./M.Sc./PhD. degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline
Extremely proficient in MS Access and Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel; candidate should be very comfortable using pivot tables and built-in functions.
Work independently as well as part of a team
Strong ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience
Outstandingly strong experience in reconciling multiple sources of data and data manipulation.
Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills with varying levels of management.
Experienced in the use of OPUS Suite.
Understanding of F-35 PBL contracts.
High level of knowledge of EVMS principles and application
Proficient in the use and application MS Project.
Development and tracking of personnel development objectives.
Hiring of personnel and interviewing techniquesPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Has knowledge of sustainment enterprise modeling tools or discrete event simulation tools.
