Job Description BAE is searching for a Senior Network Administrator to configure , install, and support secure Cisco network hardware for both LAN Switch and Wireless networks.
Responsible for maintaining compliance documentation including both hardware and IOS standards.
Function as a leader in small group projects and team objectives.
Primarily involved with installation and maintenance of the physical network layer.
Heavily involved with UPS management and IDF documentation
Involved with major network installations and upgrades.
Support day-to-day service requests and trouble tickets using enterprise ServiceNow ticket system.
Provide cost estimates for physical cable infrastructure for supported projects using standard ROM templates.
Work directly with vendors and contractors to support project requirements.
Participate with planning and assessment phases of projects and assist with project design/implementation phases.
Security clearance is preferred but not necessary.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
|Good understanding of standard IT environment and infrastructure, including Cisco switches and Wireless APs especially the physical infrastructure cabling.|
Good understanding of Cisco tools such as PRIME, Identity Service Engine (ISE) and DNA- Center.
Good understanding of DNS and DHCP technologies.
Ability to work independently while working toward common team objectives.
Good communication skills are required.
Good communication skills are required as candidate will be working directly with end users and other sub contractors.
Good organizational skills required as candidate will be required to work multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Use of standard Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word required.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Knowledge of network physical infrastructure (cabling, racking, installing, etc)
Knowledge of UPS
Knowledge of creating and maintaining network IDF documentation
Good understanding of ServiceNow ticketing system
