Job Description In this role you will lead and execute the daily operations for the assigned production value stream to ensure that products are safely manufactured while delivering them on time and to budget. The Value Stream Production Manager will own the daily execution of their assigned area across all shifts.

  • Oversee day-to-day execution across multiple shifts of operation and support changes with scheduling, resource allocation, equipment, and workflow management.
  • Facilitate on time and accurate submission of OQE data to ensure that customer delivery dates and internal target dates are met and escalate when the data or dates are behind schedule and provide leadership with recovery plan.
  • Identify and lead activities that optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards and meeting production delivery requirements.
  • Support SQDCP performance and report company KPI targets to their production value stream along with identifying areas for improvement with corrective actions.
  • Provide feedback to cross-functional teams, including PMO, engineering, quality control, and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution of production plans.
  • Support a One Team mindset for the value stream team of supervisors and production workers through mentoring and providing performance feedback.
  • Lead and oversee the training of production workers, ensuring proficiency and maintain a training matrix to aid in identifying skill gaps and targeted training areas.
  • Manage the execution of production schedules to meet customer demands and minimize lead times.
  • Work with the Value Stream Leader and Value Stream Manager to develop strategies, prioritize, communicate, and manage operational priorities and initiatives.
  • Supports the implementation of new systems, procedures and work instructions, and special projects supporting manufacturing and customer service objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with all company & OSHA regulated safety requirements/standards, and environmental and ethical requirements.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or other strongly related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of manufacturing leadership experience
    • Leading daily operations in a value stream managing both direct and indirect cross-functional teams.
    • Identifying and driving process improvements using lean manufacturing and analytical / data driven methods in a cross-functional, matrix driven environment.
    • Leading operations of complex welding, machining, and large fabrications
  • Experience in Defense (DoD)/Government Contracting environments
  • Ability to lead and manage in a cross-functional environment with complex issues and rapidly changing priorities and assignments.
  • Proven track record of strong collaboration and team building skills in creating a one team environment.
  • Experience in Managing a Union environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a confidential security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Graduate Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing related discipline
  • Familiarity with code welding and NAVSEA controlled procedures
  • Experience with the deployment and implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • Experience in Production Planning and Control within Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system



Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
