Job Description BAE Systems has an immediate need for a Material Handler I in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
As directed, the selected candidate performs a variety of warehousing duties which requires an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
Will be required to work involving commercial and government contract requirements.
Work involves most of the following: Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; perform receiving and issue transactions electronically while maintaining a high accuracy rate; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment in accordance with packing/shipping requirements.
May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Exerts frequent physical energy. Lifts and carries heavy objects.
This position is located in Fort Walton Beach, FL. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Fort Walton Beach or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Must have: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of inventory / warehouse experience
Minimum 2 years of shipping / receiving experience
Ability to travel for HAZMAT certification training and be able to obtain / recertify as required
Ability to accurately process export documentation and keep electronic and paper files for each export.
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
Ability to communicate effectively Customer service skills to be able to provide support to internal and external customers
Computer skills to include a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to be motivated and a self-starter
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to pay attention to detail
Must be eligible to obtain and keep a security clearance
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.
