Lead new business pursuits, marketing, and provide business development support for ongoing programs within Tactical Solutions. This position will report to the Director of the Tactical Solutions (TS) Strategy and Capture (S&C), helping to identify and assess new markets, while shaping opportunities in line with the TS business strategy. This person will support the Vice President’s strategic priorities by providing outreach to internal SMS and external stakeholders across industry and the DoD.
The Tactical Solutions Strategic Business Unit delivers mission system solutions, from specialized antennas to electro-optical technologies, to the warfighter. Our systems enhance the performance of various military platforms, from aircraft and land vehicles to ships and satellites, and give warfighters the advantage they need to take action, identify targets and defend against evolving threats.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop new business in the following technologies:
- SATCOM
- Conformal Antennas and systems
- Low Observable
- Anti-Jam
- High Temperature
- LiDAR and EO/IR sensors
- Focus on the customer: understanding the strategic environment, threat capabilities, priorities and requirements. Understand customer perception and requirements to shape opportunities. Explain and promote Mission Area solutions.
- Identify pursuits, create multi-year campaign plans to win new business, and support capture and proposal activities.
- Support opportunity identification and qualification by hosting interest/no-interest and pursue/no-pursue reviews.
- Provide business development support for assigned mission area by working closely with capture teams to build business cases, assess markets, and design rigor into future pursuits.
- Support leadership and coordinate the business development strategies across the corporation.
- S&C lead for formulating and executing Mission Area approaches to develop opportunities within customer base to include: platform prime contractors, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Space and Air Force R&D offices
- Complete and lead competitive analysis studies, maintain surveillance over market, and review/shape new opportunities.
- Assess and frame teaming strategies for assigned mission area and/or pursuits.
- Assure customer satisfaction and support critical customer relationships.
- Pursue strategic and tactical programs to diversify TS market base.
- Collaborate with S&C and leadership teams to inform the annual integrated business planning cycle
- Inform and prepare leadership for customer engagements
- Ensure that all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations as well as company policies and directives.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS/BA in related field plus 12 years or more related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
- Travel 40%.
- Be on-site, 3 days min, 5 days preferred.
- Occasionally work weekends.
A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams toward strategic goals.
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative.
- Ability to communicate across organizations, both internal and external, to build and strengthen relationships.
- Basic understanding of technical focus areas (SATCOM, conformal antennas, low observable techniques, anti-jam, high temperature materials, LiDAR, EO/IR sensors).
- Ability to objectively assess technology, customer needs, and build business cases based on an assessment of strengths and weaknesses.
- Adaptability to new teams, new problems, new customers, travel, and dynamic situations.
- Ability to build and lead campaign level multi-year strategy.
- Ability to engage with, and build, trust to better understand customers.
- Ability to serve as a leader for existing and future initiatives.
- Military satellite communications experience.
- A current, active Top Secret clearance.
- ITAR understanding.
- Experience with customer management tools (Salesforce, etc.).
- Business development experience.
- Understanding of business development fundamentals and rigor.
- Basic knowledge of government acquisition model.
- Experienced in identifying and winning commercial business.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
