BAE Systems Intelligence and Security (I&S) supports critical national security missions that protect our nation and those who serve. I&S is seeking STEM Interns to help maintain the national defense by supporting the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) system. This position is immediately available to start working part or full-time. Flexibility will be granted for school schedules. At least part of the time will be spent in-office at Hill AFB, Utah. Specific schedule needs can be discussed during an interview. A STEM Intern may be placed across a variety of functions based on their education and our program needs.
In addition to on-the-job training, we offer:
Competitive Pay: Earn a competitive hourly wage, working full-time (Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week) through the run of the program (2-3 months). We also have CO-OP positions available (apply through this requisition). These are generally part-time, but longer term while the student is in school.
Opportunity for Future Employment: Many of our I&S interns return as interns and/or are hired on full-time after completing their degree.
Challenging & Meaningful Work: Your internship will be challenging and impactful with on-the-job training and the opportunity to complete a project.
Networking and Development Opportunities: You will have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships as you participate in workshops, mentor programs, presentations with senior leaders, community involvement, tours of our exciting products, and other networking and development events.
Please note, pursuant to a US Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s Degree program in a science, technology engineering, or math field for at least one semester following the internship program.
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must be eligible for a U.S. government secret security clearance
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products and capable of performing independent work that will be verified by a senior engineer or subject matter expert
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preference given to Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students
Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in a relevant field of engineering / science specialization
- Coursework and experience with relevant languages and programs (e.g., MATLAB)
- Working knowledge of nuclear delivery systems (e.g., Bombers, ICBMs, ALCMs) desired but not required
