There is never a dull moment on this strategic effort, a cornerstone for the nation’s security! The program is considered a “mega-project” and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new GBSD weapon system acquisition effort brings the newest digital engineering tools and Model Based System Engineer (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075.
