Job Description BAE Systems is offering an exciting opportunity to support an important and dynamic Department of Justice customer as a Financial Analyst working with a team of diverse and highly capable IT professionals. The Financial Analyst: is responsible for providing financial analytic support to our customers program; Integrates business, cost estimating and financial management processes to ensure the efficient management of funds; Formulates strategic financial plans, cost estimates and correlates financing requirements into executable budgets, while maintaining compliance with established business standards, and accounting principles; Tracks monthly financial transactions and verifies charges, ensuring all supporting documentation is correct; Prepares and maintains required reports and documentation for periodic audits.
The financial analyst will: assist with developing purchasing budgets for system equipment refreshes; Analyzes recurring requirements to determine continued needs; Monitors expenses to ensure appropriate budgetary levels are maintained; Monitors and tracks Enterprise License Agreements, submits requests for new agreements, and consults with customer managers to remove when no longer needed to provide cost savings to the customer. Provides feedback to customer managers for budget planning.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills The successful candidate for the Financial Analyst position will meet the following education and experience requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: with five (5) years' experience;
- Master's with two (2) years' experience;
- PhD with one (1) years' experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience or:
Relevant Experience: Minimum/General Experience: 8 years of relevant experience performing the following: Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. Performs economic research and performs analysis of financial statements. Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management. May monitor business performance by unit, division or brand. May run valuation models and manages financial analyses associated with acquisition and disposal processes.
