Job Description BAE is seeking a Facilities Compliance Manager to develop, implement, and maintain the overall compliance program for ES Facilities across the sector. This position reports to the Facilities Operational Excellence Manager and has the potential for future direct reports as the role matures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, building regulatory inspections and testing requirements, personnel training and licensing requirements, abatement compliance, DOT compliance, refrigerant management, arc flash requirements, and records retention. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in facilities operations management, strong strategic vision and problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various ES sector functions and department leads within the Facilities organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve compliance across the sector to reduce risk and increase safety while enhancing efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and manage building regulatory inspection and testing requirements federally and across all states within our portfolio. This includes fire, electrical, and life safety systems.
- Manage, build, maintain, and monitor building regulatory inspection and testing requirements in Maximo for the entire sector.
- Develop and set up job plan requirements for inspection and testing on new assets and update outdated compliance job plans in Maximo.
- Review and maintain Functional Training Profile annually.
- Manage and track trade professional licenses and apprenticeships for all stes across the entire sector. Advise on umbrella licenses required in each state and coordinate large sector-wide trainings required for continuing education.
- Oversee and guide abatement, refrigerant, and DOT compliance requirements, tracking, and procedures for the entire sector.
- Understand and advise on Arc Flash compliance requirements and processes for the entire sector.
- Analyze current records retention requirements and systems. Work with stakeholders and legal department to propose changes and establish an approved electronic records retention system.
- Coordinate efforts with Safety, Health, and Environment department staff to ensure alignment of requirements.
- Work closely with other sectors, functions, and facilities departments to ensure cohesive and coordinated efforts across the organization.
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and identify solutions that support organizational goals.
- Proactively anticipate and mitigate potential issues within the Facilities organization.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration, this role will be hybrid.
This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility >50% of the time.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Associate’s degree in a relevant field with 8+ years of relevant work experience, Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 6+ years relevant work experience, or Master’s degree in a relevant field with 4+ years relevant work experience.
- Proficient in MS office tools including Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.
- Ability to make effective presentations to large and small groups.
- Must have experience in and demonstrate ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Capable of working effectively with different sectors, functions, and department personnel.
- Thorough understanding of facilities business practices and procedures and the ability to interface well with all levels of management.
- Self-starter, willing to make recommendations, take action and report routinely.
- Must have organizational, planning and exceptional communications skill bolstered by a collaborative work environment.
- Able to set priorities, produce accurate work, and meet deadlines.
- Able to function in a setting with a wide variety of duties and multiple tasks.
- Read and interpret building drawings and schematics.
- Ability to follow instructions in manuals, interpret codes and regulatory standards, and learn increasingly more complex operations and techniques.
- Must have a degree of tact, accuracy, judgement, possess a high level of initiative, and superior interpersonal skills.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Advanced skills in MS office tools including Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.
- Proficient in Maximo with a clear understanding of or ability to learn Asset, Job Plan and PM setup, structure, and management.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $99410 - $168997
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
