The Events & Exhibitions Specialist will support the planning and execution of BAE Systems, Inc.’s marketing communications activities to promote the products, capabilities and successes of the BAE Systems, Inc. organization of nearly 41,000 employees and sales exceeding $13.6B to include Tier 1 domestic exhibitions and events, and marketing content and corporate community investment initiatives.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications and Community Investment, this position will provide project management support for Tier 1 exhibitions and corporate events for BAE Systems, Inc., working closely with all business sectors. The Events & Exhibitions Specialist will also build an in-depth knowledge of the organization’s technology, innovation, and culture to inform critical projects and campaigns.
The Events & Exhibitions Specialist will be joining a Comms team that’s passionate about our mission, collaborative and creative and excited to share the BAE Systems story with the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Supports project management of Tier 1 U.S. exhibitions, working closely with The Director of Marketing & CI, sector exhibitions, business development, government relations, media, and other functional teams;
- Supports the Manager of Corporate Events with project management and execution of corporate events and meetings in collaboration with the rest of the project team;
- Manages projects in line with corporate brand guidelines, on time and on budget;
- Manages, coordinates, and supports the development of key messages, marketing materials and advertising, writing of show related website content to promote key capabilities and technologies;
- Collaborates with internal graphic designers, web developers, video team and vendors to create impactful tradeshow and events materials;
- Develops reports, including metrics and key results for exhibitions, events, and campaigns. Develops staff guides and support materials for events;
- Develops and executes strategic marketing campaigns to include exhibitions, themes and messaging, coordination of content to support our events;
- Monitors the competitive environment and the industry to proactively identify marketing trends and new tools. Recommends and supports solutions;
- Supports the design, implementation, and management of community investment programs, ensuring alignment with BAE Systems' corporate values and long-term goals;
- Supports content creation for media and marketing efforts, showcasing community partnerships and achievements.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of experience in a communications discipline;
- Exceptional project management, collaboration and creative writing skills, attention to detail and creativity, working across cross-functional teams;
- Strong writing and verbal communications skills;
- Strong relationship building, negotiation, time management and influencing skills;
- Strong project management skills;
- In-depth knowledge of modern communications tactics, media, procedures, and concepts;
- Must be a networker, collaborator, and motivator with a strong desire to learn and grow;
- Must work collaboratively and act as one team by supporting others to achieve our vision and fulfill our missions;
- Ability to simultaneously initiate, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Proficiency in all MS Office programs.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81156 - $137964
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
