About This Job
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for an Equipment Custodian. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Provide asset management planning, including provisions for asset identification, change control, asset status accounting, and asset audits
- Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software
- Work with internal and external organizations to support various customer user-level requirements
- Business process analysis and system requirements development
- Implement approved system security policies to include the configuration of user access and permission across a variety of systems
- Create ad hoc reports and deliverables for the government clients
- Responsible for overall hardware and maintenance renewals
- Responsible for maintaining warehouse inventory levels
- Ongoing physical inventories as well as periodic electronic inventories
- Process computer equipment for excess and disposal
- Conduct scheduled and random electronic inventories
- Ensure disposal policies and procedures are followed
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required degree and years of relevant experience for this position are as follows:
- High School Diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience, or
- BA/BS Degree (typically in Computer Science or related technical field) and 2+ years of relevant experience, or
- MA/MS Degree (typically in Computer Science or related technical field) and 0 years of relevant experience
The successful applicant will be able to work independently, demonstrate strong initiative, organize daily tasks with minimal supervision, and possess the following:
- Working knowledge of various hardware platforms and software applications (Jira/Confluence)
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with team members, various levels of management, and internal clients with assorted levels of computer experience
- Commitment to deliver results and success in accomplishing goals
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn technology and understand unique system requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work after hours and weekends when required
- Experience picking inventory for orders received
- Experience receiving and organizing inventory received from production facility
- Comprehensive understanding of the supply management process with demonstrated sound judgement in order to perform professional and organizational responsibilities, implement effective supply accountability practices and measures, and provide timely and efficient support
- Experience updating and maintaining product inventory database, with periodic reconciliation to physical count
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

- Hardware inventory and maintenance renewals
- Maintaining warehouse inventory levels
- Creating and maintaining processes and SOPs in accordance with organizations workflows
- Ongoing physical inventories as well as periodic electronic inventories
- Processing computer equipment for disposal
- CompTIA A+ certified
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $52470 - $89190
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
