You will also perform, delivering technical value, in BAE Systems’ Countermeasure & Attack Solutions (CEMA) Business Area. Also as a technical contributor, you will work with other engineering staff members to grow and capture our knowledge through engineering changes, lessons learned and product/process improvements in your area(s) of expertise.

As an active or passive EO/IR Systems Engineer, you will work as part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team that will evolve next-generation of systems supporting the digital/electronic warfare battle environment. Candidates for this position can expect to work in mid-size teams that are cooperative, dependable, and supportive working as both co-located and geographically distributed.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Ability and know how to “hands on” in the build, integration, & test of laser optical systems including test equipment & measurement techniques.
- Experience in optical & opto-mechanical systems.
- Experience in aero/defense industry, especially EMD processes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related STEM field with 8 + years related experience; Master's degree and 6 + years related experience; or Ph.D. and 4 + years related experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Possessing an active Secret Clearance in able to support designing military products, specifically countermeasure systems and EO/IR camera systems.
Experience with any of the following:
- Specific skills within the domains of active EO/IR, passive EO/IR or Electronic Warfare (EW).
- Executing tasks in Agile Environments (Sprints, Daily Scrums & Retrospectives)
- Proficient with Python, C++, and/or MATLAB software development.
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE, SysML)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
