Job Description
We are looking for entry level candidates (December 2021 or May 2022 Graduates) to join our GPS ASIC/FPGA Engineering Team here at BAE Systems, Inc. We are looking for a new grad ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer with a passion for engineering and the desire to be part of an innovative, dedicated team responsible for industry-leading Global Positioning Systems (GPS) products. Our team is in need of engineers interested in architecting, designing, and verifying FPGAs and ASICs. This position offers abundant opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge of FPGA and ASIC design and verification, and to apply that knowledge in a team effort focusing on military airborne and weapons GPS receivers.
As a part of this team, you will have responsibilities spanning all phases of the FPGA/ASIC engineering life cycle, including requirements analysis, design and code development, verification, integration, and
documentation.
Must have very good communication skills, verbal and written. In this position you will be required to work closely with other ASIC/FPGA engineers and engineering disciplines.
Must possess or be eligible to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
A Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline is required.
A minimum GPA of 3.25 or higher preferred.
Desired skills:
Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
Familiar with Digital Signal Processing
Memory Standards
Data Transfer Standards (USB, PCIe, Ethernet)
Experience with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Waveform Generators, etc)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Highly Desirable Skills (but not required):
FPGA Development Board Usage
Scripting using TCL, Perl, Unix
Hardware Lab Testing/Integration
Experience with Configuration Management Tools (Subversion, Git, Clearcase, etc.)
Development Tools (QuestaSim, Intel Prime, Xilinx Vivado, etc.)
