Job Description BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Senior IT/Cyber Support Manager for an exciting opportunity to support the United States Space Force's (USSF) Satellite Control Network (SCN) as the Lead Sustainment Manager for the Data Transport Product Support Sustainment Logistics Maintenance (DSLM) contract located in Colorado Springs, CO. The objective of the DSLM contract is to sustain and modernize the Data Transmit (Tx) and Receive (Rx) Network (DTRN) as part of the Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) organization within Space Systems Command (SSC). The DSLM effort provides sustaining, maintaining, and logistics support for the operational capability to transfer data for the purpose of providing highly reliable and secure telemetry, tracking, command, control, and communications (TT&C3) for more than 195 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil, and allied satellites, as well as the future sustainment, maintenance, and logistics of other DTRN programs at the appropriate phase.

DSLM primarily supports the SCN. The SCN is a global network of Radio Frequency (RF) antennas, complex signal processing and routing communications equipment and computer systems that support a growing inventory of increasingly complex space vehicles which support operational forces in peace and wartime. It is designed to have the flexibility to support a wide spectrum of orbiting satellites. Many satellites with various altitudes and orbit inclinations are supported on a 24-hours per day, 7-days a week schedule.

The IT/Cyber Support Manager will collaborate with the PM, Financial Analyst, and DSLM divisions. The IT/Cyber Support Manager will support personnel and mission systems in successfully meeting security and IT requirements. Responsibilities will include IT Services, Cyber activities, and the Enterprise Data Information Management System (EDIMS).

The IT/Cyber Support Manager will collaborate and understand various projects/efforts, issues, and work with the PM, and DSLM Division leads regarding DSLM reporting requirements. Strong organizational skills, DoD contract knowledge and collaboration is required across these functional areas. This position will be a Senior level position responsible for all contractual aspects and reporting requirements. A person with 6 - 10 years of experience is needed to provide the IT/Cyber talent to execute the mission.

  • Knowledge - Applies extensive risk management expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Competency in Financial and Accounting principles, theories, practices, concepts, systems, and tools coupled with broad work experience. Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Hyperion, Excel advanced formulas, and DOD preferred.
  • Contacts - Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature.
  • Problem Solving - Develops solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Ability to perform and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Discretion and Latitude - Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Leadership and management experience, demeanor, and perspective preferred.
  • Impact - Effects of decision are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. May function in a project leadership role. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources.
  • Liaison - Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans and objectives. May interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.


Education and Experience Level: Minimum: HS 12+, AA 10+, BS 8+, MS 6+, PhD 4+ experience in IT and Cyber Risk Management Framework (RMF), Controls Validation Assessments (CVAs), Assessment and Authorization RMF artifacts, and security test and evaluation. Desired STEM-related systems engineering/ computer engineering/IT field certifications or degrees; DoD 8570 Certification Required.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $102200 - $173700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
