Job Description The Document Management Specialist II at Los Angeles AFB, CA supporting the US Space Force (USSF) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Launch Enterprise Directorate (SMC/ECL) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Contract ensures a controlled documentation system, record retention, and information services including electronic records retention processes in accordance with regulatory requirements. Ensures compliance to the requirements from regulatory agencies. Maintains the technical and non-technical documentation change system. Assures procedures are in place to classify and maintain records. Interprets and enforces all documentation formatting, standards, policies, and operating procedure requirements.
Experience reviewing and updating the Data Governance Policy, establishing, documenting, and implementing standardized data management practices, principles, and processes across the directorate regarding CDRL Management, executing/maintaining the CDRL management file structure/organization, and documenting/maintaining the directorate’s Data Management Plan (DMP), managing CDRL review boards, supporting request for proposal (RFP) CDRL exhibit(s) planning and documentation efforts for any/all future contracts to provide document control over each unique CDRL exhibit prior to RFP releases, managing the LSP CDRL process from submittal through acceptance to archival, supporting level leadership/management briefings and status charts as requested, and supporting DM taskers/tasks/actions/requests/etc..

Contacts - Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on maters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature.

Discretion and Latitude - Work is performed under general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Impact - Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normal have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.
Liaison - Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
