Job Description

This is a Union position governed by a CBA. Acceptance of the position requires membership in the IAM&AW Union.

There is no relocation assistance available for this position. If relocation is necessary, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at his/her own expense.

This position will review production/operations schedules and customer requirements identifying potential conflicts. Prepares documentation to issue or allocate materials to meet requirements. Requisitions ordnance material and establishes delivery sequences to locations according to priorities and anticipated availability of material. Examines material delivered to verify if type specified was ordered/delivered. Monitors status, updates data, and controls movement of material and parts within multiple inventory, shop floor control, transportation and material movement systems. Maintains computerized data records and files of historical actions taken. Compiles and publishes reports on quantities and types of material on-hand, shortages of material, issue refusals, and actions taken.

The OIS-R Data Base Administrator will perform the following functions:

Track all ammunition for the Navy; includes requisitioning, receipts, expenditures, issues, and inventory

Requisition ammunition from the Navy per fiscal year to support Navy personnel assigned to SWFPAC MCSFB

Monitor trends and forecasts regarding usage of ammunition for Navy Master-at-Arms (550 personnel) ammunition requirements

Coordinate and expedite the flow of ammunition for training operations as well as security for the facility

Prepare documentation to induct or allocate materials to meet requirements

Monitor status, update data, and control movement of material and parts within multiple inventories

Maintain computerized data records and files historical actions taken

Required to be certified in the BAE Systems Explosive Qual/Cert program as an Explosive Handler

May Perform vehicle inspection for Marine Corp and Navy off base transportation movements

Respond to questions from the government Technical Advisor pertaining to OIS and ammunition issues

Minimum education requirement: High School/GED

Security clearance requirement: Must have active final DoD Secret security clearance

Must have the following skills/experience:
Familiarity with Ordnance Information System (OIS) functions as follows: requisitioning ammunition from OIS Wholesale; generate 1348 documents for AMMO evolutions, exercises, service and training; generate inventory documentation; Data input; OIS Information Report generation; interface with AA&E Officer, and customers; conduct and document causative research; understanding Ammunition Information Notice (AIN), Notice of Ammunition Reclassification (NAR); tracking NAR’s in database
Physical ability to lift, handle and move up to 75 lbs.
Valid Washington State drivers’ license
Commercial Drivers License, Class C or above
CDL Hazmat Endorsement
Demonstrated experience and above average proficiency with MS Excel, including use of formulas
Experience with PCs using various logistics and office application programs
Ability to be Explosive Handler Certified including medical certification
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel

Associate's degree
Demonstrated experience as an effective member of a successful team
Working knowledge of computerized inventory and control systems
