Job Description BAE Systems is modernizing our infrastructure and are looking for proven data center manager with experience in people management, strong technical understanding and the drive and vision to take our data center operations to the next level. The successful candidate will have audit and compliance (DFARS/CMMC), experience devising data center relocation strategies, mentoring people in all levels, sponsoring projects and proposing technical solutions.
Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
Review ticket queue for large events and address accordingly
Coordinate change management resources
Guide, train and educate data staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues
Manage and deliver mid-size projects
Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet SLA's
Manage a diverse team of data technicians with varying skills
Manage BAE Systems enterprise backup solution
Manage and maintain compliance to DFARS/CMMC standards
Provide weekly report to the data center manager
Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating absence and vacations
Host weekly staff meetings
Write and deliver performance reviews for staff
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Technical writing experience
Project management experience
Data Center Experience
Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems administration
Data Backup strategies and best practices
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills In addition to organizing and protecting various data systems, a successful Data Manager may have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Identifying necessary software and hardware needs
- Developing and implementing the latest security procedures and protocols for data management
- Creating protocols for the retrieval and analysis of ongoing data storage
- Troubleshooting any data-related problems
- Overseeing and managing a team in the day-to-day use of data systems

What We Offer+ Warrior Integration Program (Est. 2008)
