Job Description About the Role:
BAE Systems is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented current law student to join our Corporate Legal Department as a summer intern. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment, working alongside experienced attorneys and professionals from various practice areas.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with research, document preparation, and other tasks as needed
- Work closely with the Global Trade and International Compliance team(s) on projects and assignments within these practice areas (e.g. ITAR, EAR, Global Export Controls, Anti-Corruption, Third Party Due Diligence)
- Participate in rotational assignments across the Legal Department assisting with projects as assigned in various corporate legal practice areas, including:
- Employment
- Litigation
- Mergers and Acquisitions
- Procurement
- Government Contracts

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a J.D. program
- Strong academic record and excellent writing and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to commit to a 4-day per week in-office schedule
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $57200 - $79537
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
