Job Description BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair has a Contract Administrator II (Repair Estimator) position available to support in the successful execution of awarded ship repair contracts.
In this Repair Estimator role you will participate in the following activities:
Review government issued Basic Specifications and drawings to develop a detailed trade level labor estimate utilizing either in house historical, standards, and or techniques to develop Basis of Estimate.
Review awarded contracts Request Contract Change (RCC) to develop a detailed trade Level Labor estimate for the successful execution and integration. Provide RCC(s) to internal material department for sourcing of necessary materials required to support work. As well as, developing required subcontracted requisitions for those elements being outsourced.
Prepares supporting document to support the team’s negotiation of contract changes and modifications with customer.
Organizes and maintains contract records and files that document contract performance and compliance.
Other aspects include but are not limited to: either on base or in facility ship check of contract changes, monitoring turn around time contract changes and customer interface for negotiations.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 2 years + related experience; or 5 years Ship Repair Trade and/or Estimating experience or in a closely related field could be substituted for college education.

- Proficient with Excel; strong computer and database experience.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Proficient using Adobe Acrobat, Excel and other Microsoft applications;
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences.
