Job Description The Computer Based Training Developer II at Vandenberg AFB, CA supporting the US Space Force (USSF) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Launch Enterprise Directorate (SMC/ECL) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Contract designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.
Experience in developing content, computer based training modules, multimedia visual aids, educational videos, and other training materials as needed using a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Experience producing audio/visual media, including original graphics and 3D models, and supporting learning and development objectives. Individual must possess a working-level understanding of Adobe Captivate and familiarity with the associated suite of Adobe support products (e.g. Illustrator, Premiere), and have experience with generating 3D models using computer aided design software (e.g. SolidWorks).

Supervision and Management Received - Works with little instruction on daily work, general instruction on newly introduced assignments

Discretion and Latitude - Works under general supervision. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
Impact - Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require moderate expenditure of resources to rectify or may cause delays in program schedules and may result in the allocation of additional resources.
Liaison - Works primarily internal to company and some customer work site. Limited inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
