We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic external Communications Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing skills, project management capabilities and the ability to distill complex content into understandable and engaging communications. He or she will have project management mindset, creativity, and excellent communication and media relations skills to elevate the company's visibility and influence among key stakeholders.
The role will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as media, to effectively communicate our mission, values, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication plans to support key business priorities;
- Create compelling written content for various channels, including press releases, articles, presentations, employee platforms and digital/social media content;
- Manage communication projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational objectives;
- Collaborate with internal teams, industry, and external stakeholders to coordinate external communication activities and ensure consistency of messaging;
- Track and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field;
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic communications or public relations;
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing campaign style communication strategies and tactics;
- Strong writing skills with the ability to translate complex technical content into clear and compelling messaging;
- Previous experience in corporate external communications role;
- Previous experience in a communications agency or in-house role is required;
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast pace environment.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in strategic communications in the Aerospace and Defense industry;
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $113080 - $192280
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
