Job Description BAE Systems in Aiken, South Carolina is seeking a CNC Machinist- Tool Crib Attendant that will handle tooling, inventory, set-up and inspection while meeting department and/or plant goals for cost, quality, delivery, safety and other performance measures. Within this role, you will primarily operate tool presetters, heat shrink and balancing equipment.
Additional Responsibilities Will Include:
- Prepare setup carts with tooling for upcoming production runs
- Inspect tools for sharpness at completion of operation run
- Perform crib attendant duties as required such as place purchase orders and requisitions
- Perform Tool set-up using pre-setter, heat shrink and balancing equipment
- Create new tool guidelines within the pre-setter software to support production needs
- Assemble new tools to replace the broken or worn tooling in proper holders with specified stick-out lengths
- Provide training as required to other staff members in the operation of CNC automatic pre-setters, tool balancers heat /shrink machines
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- CNC Tooling or Machining experience
- Able to reach up to 50 inches, lift 30 pounds, and apply 30 pounds of torque to ratchets
- Able to understand safety policies, procedures
- Able to operate hoist, pallet jack, or forklift. Operation of forklift requires passing a certification test and the ability to step up 14 inches onto the forklift
- Good analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communications skills
- Good time management and planning skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Previous experience in :
Setting up Drills, Reamers, Boring Bars, and Endmill assemblies for CNC production machines
Knowledge of Haimer presetter with heat shrink, Haimer tool balancer or equivalent brand machines
Knowledge of standard pre-set tool room practices
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $42436 - $67898
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
