Job Description BAE Systems is looking for a Cameo Modeler to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting an acquisition program for the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications System. The successful candidate will provide support and creation of digital engineering and Model Based System Engineering for the Strategic Automated Command Control System (SACCS) Acquisition Programs. This program is designed to extend SACCS systems life and transition into the follow-on system, known as Sentinel ICBM System (formerly Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD))
Candidates may be called upon to augment organic resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for:
• Create and design digital models in prescribed “sandbox”.
• Identifying and deploying methods, processes, and guidelines for developing MBSE as part of the capabilities development process.
• Participating on teams working to advance the capabilities of essential national systems;
• Delivering presentations to sponsors and working groups to effectively communicate proposed concepts, solutions, and analysis findings.
• Collaborating with engineers and scientists in a diverse team environment to develop digital engineering products.
• Applying MBSE to drive requirements development from operational capabilities/needs to describe system performance, resilience, cybersecurity, and other characteristics
Potential candidates will validate the abilities to accomplish the following activities while demonstrating strong leadership attributes of a team of subject matter experts accomplishing the same:
- Have a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Possess a significant knowledge of systems modeling techniques and methodologies.
- Lead, work independently, and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Provides technical leadership of all phases of design analysis, development, integration and implementation.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills, and good organizational skills.
- Directs, oversees, and controls a team of multi-disciplined personnel to accomplish the overall management of the contracts.
- Be willing and able to occasionally travel, including both local and non-local travel.
- Provides technical leadership of all phases of design analysis, development, integration and implementation.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS (with 12 years’ experience) or MS (with 10 years’ experience) in engineering, computer science, software, mathematics or Physics degree
- 12+ years experience (10 years with MS) in program management of contracted workloads
- 6+ years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership
- Be familiar with systems engineering languages like SysML or other industry-specific languages.
- Proficiency in using MBSE tools and software
- Capable to create and manage complex system models including requirements, design, and analysis diagrams
- Able to understand system architecture and apply sound system engineering concepts
- Analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions, especially in system architecture and integration.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills, and good organizational skills.
- Able to identify and deploy methods, processes, and guidelines for developing MBSE as part of the capability development process
- Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years.
- Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work with successful results
- Due to its special-access, classified working environment, this position is only located at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, and is not conducive to telework schedules.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Previous work with DoD, USAF or other military communication systems.
- Experience with technical systems, network design and software coding.
- General knowledge of requirements management tools.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
